It is being said that twenty first century belongs to the field of management. Proper and effective management holds the key to the future. Keeping this in view, the Asian Workers Development Institute (AWDI) has been at the center of pioneering efforts to adequately prepare and train prospective managers in the service of the nation. Since the early eighties, when management education and training had not caught the attention of the students, parents and guardians, AWDI has been imparting management education in different streams. The institute was formed in the year 1980 and is on the thresh hold of celebrating its silver jubilee.
Inspite of mushrooming of institutes offering management education, it has been estimated that India would experience a dearth of competent managers for quite some time. The process of liberalization sweeping the country has already opened up new vistas and opportunities for management students who are properly equipped to meet the challenges of the future. Asian Workers Development Institute seeks to bridge this gap between the requirement and availability of competent managers not only within the state but also all over the country and abroad. The promoting organization, the Bastia Memorial Trust (BMT), which was set-up by the veteran freedom fighter and reputed parliamentarian, Late Surendra Nath Dwivedy, has pledged to extend all possible support for this noble cause.

  VISION
AWDI aims to provide management education in various streams at the Post Graduate level, research in the field of management and consultancy to organizations. It has committed itself to build a line of competent and confident managers who would be able to take up the challenges thrown by the industrial and service sectors that are under going radical transformation due to the challenges of globalization and on going liberalization process. It stands for discipline and sense of commitment. It aims to inculcate a sense of entrepreneurship and leadership among the students and to prepare them for the challenges of tomorrow.

AWDI also aims to provide continuing education and training to the working executives. It endeavours to maintain an industry-academic interface for mutual benefit as a continuing phenomenon. The institute has provided education and training to scores of young graduates and postgraduates who have been suitably employed in different Public and Private sector organizations over the years.
